harp of stairs

on a harp
of falling
rain you
played an
autumn down,
the sun strained
out to its cold,
you played a
spiral dance
ascending
steps i
climbed till
you i
found

on a harp of
falling gold
you played
your heart down
to my hand,
those leaves
a spiral dance
i climbed to
topmost
stair to find
a shore you
waited on
in night for
song sung
on guitar,
that rough &
ready harp
shoulder-slung
to charm the
hastened into
love

on a turn
of wrist along
harp strings
of shower
strung
in sun,
we found
the upward run
to each other
droplets
sounding
into
one
.
