sisterly

simple song
Yon Chome Cafe, Koenji, Tokyo
1993
just as heaven pleases* the wind can blow just as heaven pleases falls the simple snow just as heaven pleases i may go where i’m let where no man may let me go. i must take stock of what i’ve become i must take stock of what cannot be undone i must take stock when evening comes under the bridge and the cold shadow there. just as heaven pleases the roads fall away just as heaven pleases the wind plays on the hay just as heaven pleases i say what i say heart shown or out of reach heart shown or out of reach
*’Just as heaven pleases’ is a phrase from one of translations of the Daoist text ‘Daodejing’, that I have read, but I no longer know which one.
