in a drifted space
the evening cloud
wove round them
star that stood the
full lunar flare
yoked together
bright and brighter
the sea blathered
in on waves
heavy engraved
with silver
the black lithe
between to bash
dulled into sand
lunar flare now
through a prairie
of sky unhindered
that star

green of those
leaves branches
laden with
late summer
and late summer
from there
you zoom
come down
as if on a swing
drawn up to the
heart of the blue
and let go
and at the
very last second
do your aerial
skid and upwards
kick inches in front
of the windscreen
