To cut a caper across the sun and watch it burn… photo by Weathercat Productions

the
beetle
working its
legs along
the pitted
asphalt,
to the
magpie
cutting
shadows
across the
midday sun
only to
watch them
burn,
said
in cello
tones
‘i think
consciousness
will not insist
on a longer
stay,
while the
body may
even in
its ruin.
i feel
consciousness
will not
delay to
join
its
wider
stream
always running
just beyond
the
‘i am’
a titanic
‘am’
that
will take
us in
and
onward’

  1. Interesting meditation, Peter: titanic Am-ness; and how being itself can become such a heavy burden of words we will it sunk, into those deeper, vaster waters where languages can but motion toward.
