spelt as ‘Hymettus’ in English)

a sense of touch
in the sky.
the dawn
flares cool
along the ridge.
the ridge
working its line
back and forth
the sun
lifts like plaster
from staircase walls.
you know then
the city to
its edge

wind ’n’ vane

the clouds wisping
on the warm blue
of afternoon sky,
from your porch,
the rattan chair,
they cut across
the view at a
fair pace,
a good day
for a sail
if i had a boat
and all that should
come with it,
was watching
with unknown intent
until it hit me;
your weathervane
the ship aloft
should have spun
